In the late 70’s, I took a few classes at WWCC. I remember my botany class–I’d never seen chlorophyll streaming through a leaf. Pretty cool. I failed at pottery–I couldn’t get a bowl built up on the wheel. I went on to Washington State University and graduated with an elementary education degree. I’ve taught in a variety of settings. Recently, I completed an MFA at Portland State University. Besides teaching, reading and writing, I enjoy camping in the Blues, gardening, and hanging out with my husband, kids and dogs.
