Greetings ! I was born in Walla Walla Washington. After I recieved my Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing from Walla Walla College (now University)in 1984 I lived in the Portland area and later moved to Seattle. My varied experiences in nursing and cultural background have paved the way for a career in Health Science Education. Since 2000 I have worked in the community college system as an educator in health care careers with a focus on students with emerging English.
In 2009, I recieved a Masters Degrees in Nursing Education with a Specialty in Education from the University of Phoenix. In 2012.I receieved certification as a Spanish/English Medical Interpreter in Washington State and subsequently launched “La Bilingue Interpreter Services” in 2013. Currently I am involved in varied capacities in the following Health Science Programs,Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant and the Spanish Medical Interpreter/Translator Program.
On a more personal level, I share my life with my husband, a Seattle native and my two teenagers.
